Lucille and I shared a passion for tennis and our annual visits to Wimbledon were a joy and always something to look forward to. When big matches were taking place, especially those involving Andy Murray, we shared texts and calls to discuss shots, wins, losses and much more besides. We worked together for a few years before we discovered our joint love of tennis and our friendship was special and will be a cherished memory for me.

Lucille I will miss you so much and you left us before you should have. I am so pleased that I was able to spend a precious hour with you before your final days.

I have lost a best friend but you may not be here in body but I will still be ranting, raving and talking to you about tennis in the years to come. I am already feeling your absence but I know you are at peace.
